KAT-TUN are:
K - Kamenashi Kazuya

U - Ueda Tatsuya
N - Nakamaru Yuichi

They were formed in 2001 as a back-up group for the KinKi Kids. As part of Johnny's Jimusho, they've been included in many TV shows such as "Hadaka no Shounen" and "Shounen Club", and their popularity has grown immensely from this. They became so popular that it was not long before they had stepped out of the shadow of the KinKi Kids and were writing and performing their own songs. In March 2006 they released their first single ("Real Face") and album ("Best of KAT-TUN"), featuring many of their famous live songs. In KAT-TUN, two members have stood out since the beginning and have become hugely popular. These are Akanishi Jin and Kamenashi (Kame) Kazuya. They have been in a number of TV dramas, including the famous "Gokusen" series 2. But all of KAT-TUN's members are vital to the group, since they all have their own individual talents. Kamenashi is the unnofficial leader, Akanishi writes songs and plays the guitar, Taguchi is a wonderful acrobat, Tanaka provides the rapping, Ueda plays both guitar and piano, and Nakamaru is the multi-talented Human Beatbox.
