I awoke to daylight and was met by the phone ringing,
Trembling bitterly I knew the cruel reality that I'd foreseen.

With a heart forever scarred, I looked up into the night sky,
And saw the existence of only one star.

Sayounara - you have gone far henceforth to the place where we can't meet.
That infinitely lasting farewell, I can't bring myself to accept its coldness.
As I look upon your retreating form, I beg for you to turn around,
And leave me with the reassurance that at one time you truly loved me,
Even if to say so is a lie.

An endless sorrow finally came forth to see it's demise.
The season changed to cold and has swept right through me bitterly.
But the vision of that summers day presents itself to my eyes.
Although through this year, the sky has wept in place of me.

I feel that the existence I'm living is merely a continuation,
Of a dream that still prevents me from crying.

Sayounara - you are so far that even these final words evade you.
That ever haunting final parting, I am forced to accept its bitterness.
And as I long to see your face, I truly wish that you'd told me,
That the time that we spent together has never filled you with repentance,

Why is it that you turn your back on these memories that we have,
